Personal Thoughts for July 09

This area contains some personal thoughts on ideas of life and government.

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty. " Thomas Jefferson

As of Bastille Day 2009, the country's executive branch is composed of 32 Czar's (and counting). Many of these Czars parallel the President's cabinet. So why do we need such duplication of effort? Is it because the Czars are not open to Congressional scrutiny? Congress cannot monitor their activities. They answer only to the president.

As of Bastille Day 2009, the country's deficit has topped $1 trillion for the first time ever...and it is expected to be $1.8 trillion by November

I’ m confused…..

Under the Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson (former CEO of Goldman Sachs), Bear Stearns (a major competitor of Goldman Sachs) was turned over to JP Morgan Chase ran by Jamie Dimon (also a director of the Board of Directors of the New York Federal Reserve, a three year term which started January 2007), a close friend of Ben Bernacke, Chairman of the Federal Reserve……Lehman Brothers (another major competitor of Goldman Sachs) was put into bankruptcy…..AIG was saved by federal bailout…..CEO Edward Liddy was selected by Henry Paulson (Liddy was on the board of Goldman Sachs from 2003 to 2008, when he resigned to become CEO of AIG)…... He was selected by Henry Paulson for both roles.

The bailout of American International Group, or AIG, ballooned from $85 billion in September 2008 to $182.5 billion. Of that money, $90 billion was funneled out the back door as collateral payments to banks that traded with AIG. American taxpayers may never see a dime of their bailout money again, but Goldman saw plenty.

Goldman may be the largest indirect beneficiary of AIG's bailout, receiving $12.9 billion in collateral, including securities lending transactions, from AIG after the government bailed out the insurance company. If the federal government had not intervened and if AIG had gone into bankruptcy, Goldman probably would not have received its $12.9 billion from AIG.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. announced record earnings Tuesday of $3.44 billion for the second quarter of 2009.

Well maybe I’m not so confused after all….

This is truly outrageous!!!!!

Some of the Obama stimulus money was used for porno flicks (art movies!!!) and pervert reviews disbursed by the NEA (National Endowment For the Arts).

Now we know why it was called Stimulus Package!!!!

Is this how you want your tax money spent????

Don't talk to me about "freedom of expression!!!!! You can make any kind of films that you want or have any kind of review that you want but not with my money while you are talking about taking away my mother's healthcare due to her age!!!!

Another disturbing fact!!!!!

Social Security is just a giant "Ponzi Scheme" that we are forced to participate in!!!.

When Social Security was established, the life expectancy was 63. No one was ever really expected to draw out what was put in. Another tax from the Democrats. What else is new. Rationed health care for the elderly will soon rectify the SS problem. Just consider it what it was ment to be....more tax.

Why do we need a Behavioral Modification CZAR?

A Behavioral Modification CZAR has been proposed. The group is to consist of psychiatrists, psychologists, economists.....to study the reasons Americans use so much energy and what can be done to cauuse the population to modify behavior to use less. Will there be a limit to the usefulness of behavior modification?

Have you read George Orwell's "1984" (written in the 60's)?

Gee, and while they're at it, maybe they can figure out why Obama's political popularity is waining. With a little behavior modification (brainwashing) Obama's popularity could skyrocket.

By concentrating efforts on the youth (the ranks of Americorps is expected to swell due to the rise in minimum wage) and reducing the elderly population through escalated attrition, the Dems could reign forever in the New World Order (or Bave New World). This apparantly what America wants(?) as they follow blindly along.

Wake up and smell the stench or does it already smell like honeysuckle and roses?

Congressman Waxman (driving force in Congress for public health care) exempts congress from public health care program.!

What would you do if the guy that cooks your meal turns up his nose and says "I aint eatin' that crap"?.

"Strength is not provocative.......Weakness is provocative...."

Quote by former US Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, commenting that current open hand foreign policy is seen as many foreign governments as weakness.
