If left alone, the free market will protect itself
When external forces (government intervention) inject rules, regulations, and discriminatory policies into the market, the market will react to try to rebalance itself by compensating for these external forces in order to keep from collapsing under the external stress. If more external forces are present than the free market can compensate for it will surely be unable to correct itself and will transform into something other than a free market. The transformation will be to a form of controlled market. The controlled market would then be subject to the manipulation by the external controlling forces and will no longer have the ability to correct itself. Which type of market do we want??
